Account Coordinator

In this role, you will collaborate with experienced team members to coordinate public relations, corporate communications and investor relations services for our life sciences clients.   • Support account teams in day-to-day activities including media monitoring, research, writing, visual content development, media relations, metrics report building and client correspondence
  • Draft and assist in the development of press releases, Q&As, presentations, newsletters, fact sheets and website copy
  • Prepare agendas, maintain project trackers and attend client meetings
  • Provide administrative and project management support, database maintenance and coordination of logistics (scheduling, travel, industry events, training sessions)
  • Conduct daily media monitoring and analysis of news and social media coverage to identify opportunities and inform communications strategies for our clients
  • Develop and maintain investor, media and key opinion leader (KOL) lists, industry awards and thought leadership opportunities
  • Create a variety of communications materials intended for priority audiences such as media, investors, industry partners, health care professionals and patients
  • Develop copy, growth/engagement strategy, and creative assets for social media campaigns
  • Assemble metrics reports demonstrating campaign progess, value and impact tied to overarching communications goals
  • Research diseases, cutting-edge treatments, health issues and more in a wide range of client therapeutic areas such as oncology, immunology, gene editing, digital health and rare diseases


  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree; biology, chemistry or communications preferred
  • Desire to actively monitor and critically consider life science industry trends
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organization and planning skills
  • Fanatical attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize multiple client accounts, projects and demands
  • Ability to work calmly and maintain professional integrity in fast-paced, high pressure situations
  • Interest and engagement in the ever-changing social media landscape
  • Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel
  • An energetic, efficient and resourceful team player and individual contributor

This role is a remote-friendly position. MacDougall’s office is located in Natick, MA and some travel may be required.
