Michael is a Senior Director at MacDougall with more than a decade of experience in external and public affairs. He counsels clients on strategic communications, corporate positioning, investor outreach and public affairs. He is passionate about helping companies share their stories, address their business challenges and navigate complex public relations scenarios. Before joining MacDougall, Michael worked with a variety of healthcare and non-profit organizations on a range of communications, government relations, patient advocacy and community stakeholder engagement efforts. As the Director of Public Affairs for a healthcare provider, he led strategies to pass legislation guaranteeing access to patient confidentiality and safety, and affordable access to critical, life-saving medication. He has worked extensively with state budget makers to secure appropriations ensuring access to preventive and therapeutic medications for high-risk communities. Outside of work, Michael is a mentor with Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Massachusetts.
