Matthew Corcoran is a Vice President at MacDougall Advisors and has a decade of experience in communications, government relations and scientific communication. He has led strategic communications initiatives for biotech companies that have helped these companies achieve their objectives related to financings, patient engagement, scientific communication, and employee recruitment. He has extensive experience as a video producer on topics related to the life sciences and in developing content campaigns that communicate technological and scientific innovations that can have a positive impact on human health. Matthew also led research communications for NYU Abu Dhabi and worked as a government relations consultant in Washington, D.C.

My first car was a…
1984 Ford Ranger. It was blue (kind of) and had a four-speed manual transmission. There was a hole in the floor beneath the clutch so that you could see the road below. Probably not the safest thing to drive around, but it didn’t go very fast.

I’ve read almost everything ever written by…
I haven’t yet, but one writer I want to read more of is Norman Lewis, a travel writer who wrote a ton of books from the 1940s to 1990s.

My last meal…
cheese, olives, some amazing pasta dish, a bottle of good red wine.

Sometimes I get caught at work checking…
the price of flights to faraway places.

Back in the day I was…
a two-time National Geographic Geography Bee champion for my middle school. I didn’t win at the state level, tho 🙁
