Shannon Youngberg
Account Coordinator

Shannon Youngberg is an Account Coordinator at MacDougall. She supports the account teams in media monitoring, content development and communications strategy. Prior to joining the team, Shannon graduated from Boston College with a BA in Psychology. While at BC, she discovered her passion for strategic communications and social media strategy as a Communications and Marketing Intern for Boston College Office of University Advancement. Shannon also served as a research assistant in BC’s Emotion Development Lab, where she managed the progress of a study investigating how various cultures perceive emotion. Shannon’s love for travel was sparked by her semester abroad in Stockholm, Sweden. During her time abroad, she took several psychology courses and absorbed as much of the Swedish language as she could, whether it be in the classroom or while café hopping in Stockholm’s Old Town.

5 things you always wanted to know about Shannon:

When I head out on the highway, I’m usually looking for…
the nearest coffee shop.

If I didn’t have to work on Tuesday I would…
spend the day cooking. When I was growing up, my dream was to be a chef, so I try to make my younger self proud by cooking as much as I can.

If I get stuck on an island, it better be…
Rhode Island. My family and I spend much of our summers at our house in Portsmouth, RI. It was built in the 1890’s and has been in my family for over 80 years!

Super powers are cliché, I just wish I could…
grow a green thumb and stop killing my plants.

My last meal…
would be Swedish meatballs (and I don’t mean the ones from Ikea). When I studied abroad in Stockholm, I couldn’t get enough. If I had stayed any longer than four months, Sweden would have been scrambling to prevent a meatball shortage.
